Ayurveda (ayur means life, veda knowledge) is the oldest continuously practiced health-care system in the world. It is a sister life science to Yoga. Drawn from the Vedic texts of India, Ayurveda addresses the person as a whole and encourages individuals to actively participate in creating their own health and well-being.
Ayurveda teaches that each of us has a fundamental constitution. When our constitution is in balance, we experience optimal health in body and mind; when out of balance, we experience a range of physical symptoms and mental conditions that can eventually manifest as disease. The restoration of a natural state of balance focuses on diet, daily routines, and natural cleansing protocols. Adjustments to the more subtle mental and spiritual energies utilize tools such as yoga, meditation, and mantra.
My own personal experience of healing several chronic ailments and improving my overall wellbeing through Ayurveda and Yoga opened my eyes to these methods as powerful tools for healing. This experience motivated me to end my successful eleven year career in advertising in order that I may share and continually increase the knowledge that has helped me so much. As an Ayurvedic Yoga Specialist I use the knowledge from these ancient systems to help guide the body back into balance by focusing on diet, movement, breath, and living in harmony with the cycles of nature and the body
